The Council requires a supplier for the provision of creating a Family Event in Acocks Green BID area through the Welcome Back Fund. Birmingham has been granted funding under the ERDF Welcome Back Fund to support the safe reopening of high streets and other commercial areas. The money will allow Birmingham to put in place additional measures to establish a safe trading environment for businesses and customers, particularly in high streets, through measures that extend to the end of March 2022. A proportion of this funding is to develop events across the city in a covid safe manner which will drive footfall back to high streets and shopping areas which have been impacted through the covid pandemic. We would like to deliver a Family Event in the Acocks Green BID area on Saturday 18th September from 10am to 4pm. This contract is available for use for projects funded externally from the Council including Reopening High Streets Safely Fund and Welcome Back Fund which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth. Deliverables The Family Event must include at least all of the following: - Mobile stage 4 metres by 8 metres maximum with sound equipment - Mobile DJ - 5 piece covers band - Petting zoo - Series of interactive large-scale games (table football, penalty shoot-out etc) - Bouncy castle, soft play and small children's ride - Children's entertainer/balloon modeller/magic tricks etc - Caricaturist - Face painter - Smoothie Maker - Characters in costume for kids (Paw Patrol, Fireman Sam, Fortnite etc) The budget for this project is a maximum of ?10,000 to cover all development of event, Temporary Event Notice, equipment, performers etc. The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
