Description

The Derbyshire Hard of Hearing Support Service will undertake environmental hearing equipment assessments for people who are deaf or have a hearing impairment and order equipment from the approved equipment framework. The service will also have a key role in providing good quality information, advice and peer support via events and outreach bases across Derbyshire. The service will ensure the Council meets statutory duties, such as the Equality Act (2010), the Accessible Information Standard (2016) and a commitment to work according to the new General Data Protection Regulation (2018). The service will also have a prevention and well-being focus in line with the principles in the Care Act (2014).
