Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of pocket money toys for resale in Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park gift shop. The supplier will offer a large range of animal themed 'pocket money' toys across a variety of price ranges. All toys should be made from high quality materials and be subject to rigorous quality control testing. Products should also be tested to ensure that they meet all relevant safety standards and that none contain unsafe levels of harmful substances (e.g. boron levels in slime). The safety of products should be indicated by the CE mark being present on labels or packaging. Available items should ideally consist of the following: • A minimum of five different varieties of 'slime' products in varying colours. At least two varieties should in some way be animal related (e.g. slime containing rubber animals). • A variety of foam animal masks, including both farm and exotic / zoo animals. • A variety of plastic and stretchy rubber animals in various sizes and styles, including, but not limited to snakes, lizards and insects. • A variety of sand filled animals, including, but not limited to snakes, lizards and turtles. • A variety of glow in the dark toys including ceiling decorations. • A variety of tactile animal toys (e.g. squeezy, noise making, pull cord etc.) • A variety of animal themed traditional wooden toys. • A variety of educational toys including entomology kits etc. • A variety of nature themed stationary items. This contract will be for a period of 1 year commencing 13 05 2019 until 12 05 2020 with option to extend for a further 12 months depending on previous performance including the ability of the provider to deliver all orders on time.
