Summary of the work Create user-centred SharePoint 2019 site designs by understanding business requirements, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings, in collaboration with users lead by a Product Owner. Specialist role Designer Expected Contract Length 60 working days (with an option for 3 month- 60 working days extension) Latest start date Monday 15 November 2021 Maximum Day Rate £750 per day- based on 8 hours per day. Who Speclialist Work With You will be a key member of the System Operating Authority, overseeing the integration of a bespoke network. You will work with the delivery organisation, DE&S, on a daily basis. What Specialists Work On •Quickly create user flows, site template wireframes, prototypes. •Devise the site map structure and the simplest way for a user to navigate to the information they require. •Devise what information is initially presented to the User. •Devise how information is stored to give the best possible Users experience, exploiting the capability provided by SharePoint 2019 ‘on premise’ and use all this information working iteratively with the Project Development Team. Full ToR to be supplied upon contract award. Skills & Experience • The UX Designer is responsible for creating interactive programs that enhance a user’s experience with the site and facilitate an enjoyable experience, shown through previous examples of work. • Focus on designing the presentation and interactivity of the solution, in collaboration with other team leads. • Create user-centred SharePoint 2019 site designs by understanding business requirements, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings, in collaboration with other team leads. • Experience of designing a website to comply WCAG 2.1 standards. • Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, low and high-fidelity mock-ups. • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI development. • Professional written and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces. Work Location A Location in the West Midlands (HR4) to be advised to successful applicant. Working Arrangments 40hrs/week (over 5 days) in person at site. Health & Safety Risks Relevant to the role: •Occasional lone working. •Occasional work in a noisy environment (server rooms). •Work must be undertaken on the customer site so there are potential COVID exposure risks. •Worker will be required to undertake COVID lateral flow tests routinely throughout the duration of the contract and comply with COVID HSW precautions. Security Clearance MOD SC clearance on Day 1 of Appointment. Can any aspect be carried out remotely or is it predominantly on-site? Due to the nature of the role and our customer this role is fully site based not remote. 3. You will work with the delivery organisation, DE&S, on a daily basis”. Can you please clarify whether this means that all the work is on-site or whether there is any remote working? There is the potential for approximately 20% travel for the UX Designer to travel to 3 other sites. This would be planned and agreed in advance. 5. Could you please provide a breakdown of further stages with dates? When exactly would the final decision be made? Fully details and dates will be given upon the advertisement ending however we are aiming for a turn around of no longer than 1 month (This is subject to transferring security clearances and all relevant paperwork completion)Once the advert has closed a CV sift will be completed. Successful candidates will then be invited to a virtual interview. We will then invite suitable candidates to a face to face interview. Once a candidate has been selected as our preferred choice, An offer will be made and the contract award process will formally begin. 6.
