Home Group is seeking to establish a framework of suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) consultants to support us in the delivery of our ambitious build strategy over the next 4 years. This framework will cover new build and refurbishment projects comprising of a variety of tenures including affordable rent, shared ownership, outright sale and build to rent, as well as the potential to include community and commercial buildings. The framework will exclude the development of new models of care (Extra care and supported) units included within our build programme, however we reserve the right to include these units if part of a large mixed tenure development. Lot 1 will be for projects in the North of England where there is a requirement for MEP consultancy services, consultants will be required to provide MEP consultant services to support Home Group in providing either a full detailed design service or a performance design service on both high density and low density developments. High density developments can be defined as developments over 4 storeys high, which include communal and/or commercial elements. Low density developments can be defined as residential developments under 4 storeys including houses. For the purposes of this tender Home Group has defined it’s regions in line with the NUTS classification (Nomenclature of territorial units for statistics) and considers the following NUTS 2 areas to fall into the North Lot: North East (England) (Tees Valley and Durham and Northumberland and Tyne and Wear), North West (England) (Cumbria, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside), Yorkshire and The Humber (East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire), East Midlands (England) (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire), West Midlands (England) (Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire and West Midlands). Lot 2 will be for projects in the Scotland where there is a requirement for MEP consultancy services, consultants will be required to provide MEP consultant services to support Home Group in providing either a full detailed design service or a performance design service on both high density and low density developments. High density developments can be defined as developments over 4 storeys high, which include communal and/or commercial elements. Low density developments can be defined as residential developments under 4 storeys including houses. For the purposes of this tender Home Group has defined it’s regions in line with the NUTS classification (Nomenclature of territorial units for statistics) and considers the following NUTS 2 areas to fall into the South Lot: East of England (East Anglia, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire and Essex), London (Inner London – West, Inner London – East, Outer London – East and North East, Outer London – South, Outer London – West and North West), South East (England) (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire and Isle of Wight and Kent) and South West (England) (Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Bristol/Bath area, Dorset and Somerset, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly and Devon).
