Description

Rushden Town Council (the Council) is seeking tenders from suitably qualified organisations for the supply of a flexible and responsive grounds maintenance service. Rushden has a population of 30 000 and has been designated as a growth town. Rushden has seen significant development over the last 20 years, resulting in 42 parks and open spaces now being owned by the Council. The Council also owns and administers a large cemetery and is responsible for the closed Parish church yard. The parks and open spaces owned by the Council vary from small LAPs and LEAPs to a prestigious green flag 34 acre park. A number of the parks are of mixed use and include playing fields and sports pitches. The parks are home to a large quantity of mature, specimen trees and established hedges. The Council also undertakes grass cutting in roadside verges for the principal authority. Rushden has a population of 30 000 and has been designated as a growth town.
