<strong>Bradford Council is seeking suitable companies that will be able to supply and install a standalone bespoke solar powered system to provide off-grid power supply at a community garden site situated off Leeds Road, Bradford.</strong> <strong>Background</strong> The site is approximately 500m2 in size and includes gardens, shelters and a number of timber sheds mainly used for the storage of poultry animals and feed. The site was established in 2007 by a group of local professionals with the aim of mobilising the community in one of the most nationally deprived wards to work in partnership with the local communities. The site currently has no access to national grid power supply and are seeking an alternative energy option. The community group have recently been successful in obtaining a grant through the Community Climate Action Fund to support the goal of net zero carbon across the district to fund the supply and installation of the system <strong>Purpose</strong> The system will be self-contained off grid and powered by solar panels/storage batteries. The system will need to provide power to the following: • Power 4 CCTV cameras + Wi-Fi extender • Low power LED lighting for the sheds and external areas • Low watt tube heater to poultry shed • 2x Sockets for charging mobile phones USB and inverter single 240v Socket. This is a complete package of design, build and installation on site to meet the requirements listed above and must include for all equipment, batteries, cables, switches, fixing and certificates. Equipment must be warrantied for minimum of 12 months to cover any defects. Installers will be accredited MCS, NICEIC or similar, members of the ECS Scheme. <strong>Total project value in the region of £4,500</strong> This is an initial expression of interest for suitable companies following stage 1 selection process. Successful companies will progress to stage 2 and will be invited to supply proposal for the scheme and include simple schematic M&E drawing of equipment with costs breakdown in the form of a simple quick quote. The supply and installation must not exceed the project budget though the scheme may need to engineered to suit the budget. <strong>Please see attached image of the site for general layout.</strong>   Keywords: Alternative Energy, Solar, Green, Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering
