Description

On 19.9.2017 the LAA launched a Main Procurement Process to award contracts in all Categories of Law for the delivery of publicly funded civil legal aid services from 1.9.2018 across England and Wales. Whilst in the vast majority of Categories of Law and geographic areas there was a good level of demand for the available work, the LAA considered it was necessary to launch a Supplemental Face to Face Procurement Process to procure additional services in a small number of areas in the Family, Housing and Debt and Immigration and Asylum Categories of Law (singularly or collectively as the “Previous Procurement Processes”). The LAA were aware that some organisations did not submit a tender or failed to submit compliant tenders for specific Categories of Law or Procurement Areas in the Previous Procurement Processes therefore the LAA invited further tenders in all Procurement Areas and in all Categories called the Further Face to Face Procurement Process”.
