Summary of the work DWP are looking to engage with a supplier to provide ServiceNow Developer specialists to work with DWP resources, to deliver continuous improvement and development of the DWP Roadmap for DWP end users. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 12 months Latest start date Wednesday 1 December 2021 Maximum Day Rate £676 ex VAT Who Speclialist Work With The existing team is augmented with a mix of Civil Servants and other 3rd party supplier resource. What Specialists Work On DWP are looking to engage with a supplier to provide a ServiceNow Developer specialist to work with DWP resources, to deliver continuous improvement and development of the DWP Roadmap for DWP end users. ServiceNow Developer role is to design and develop solutions to meet requirements as directed and according to departmental policy to improve the capability, usability and stability of the ServiceNow platform. The DWP product (ServiceNow/ AWS Connect platforms) increased demand has created a further resource demand for specialist development and support across ServiceNow. This Service will continue with enhancements and improvements to the DWP ServiceNow Product systems; Skills & Experience • Ability to deliver new configuration and functionality to the ServiceNow Production instance in line with the DWP Software Delivery Lifecycle • : Experience of completing stories assigned or escalate blockers to ensure that development is completed to expected standards and are delivered within timescales • Attend and participate in Agile ceremonies. • The ability to complete development of user stories to the DWP definition of “Done”. • • Provides Show and Tell’s to Senior developers, Business Analysts and System Administration team. • • Creating and maintaining documentation. • Able to build, configure and support ServiceNow features, applications and integrations • Able to build and test simple integrations, or can work on more complex integration as part of a wider team • Experience of JavaScript within the ServiceNow platform, knowledge of the Glide API’s. – Working Level • Current ServiceNow platform Certification • Minimum of 2 years’ hand on Development experience on the platform • • Core Platform – Level 3 (Practitioner) • • ITSM Module – Level 2 (Working) • • Project and Portfolio Management module – Level 1 (Awareness) • • ATF Configuring and maintaining – Level 1 (Awareness) • • : 3rd line support for incidents, problems and changes • • Self-Service Portal – Level 1 (Awareness) • • Virtual Agent & NLU – Level 1 (Awareness) • • Apply different techniques to methods in analysing and resolving problems, working up new practices and procedures or modify existing processes to improve performance. • • ITIL qualifications or experience/skills • • Demonstrate experience of working on large scale organisation and/or Government or Public Sector installations of ServiceNow. Nice to Haves • Agile Development • Knowledge of Angular, HTML, CSS • • Information Security (DDaT) • Problem Management (DDaT) • Service Focus (DDaT) • Systems Integration (DDaT) • Technical Breadth (DDaT) • Integration Hub – Level 1 (Awareness) • Performance Analytics – Level 1 (Awareness) Work Location The role will be currently undertaken remotely but there is a likelihood that the individual would need to travel to the Corporate Hub location in Manchester at some point. Specialist will work 5 working days per work remotely until further notice. The specialist will be required to be online between the hours of 8:00AM - 17:00PM Working Arrangments Working in a team of ServiceNow developers making sure services are enhanced and new services delivered as desired and to the required standards. The team will also work with and support third parties and other internal teams to support and develop integration and automation between ServiceNow and other products. Security Clearance The supplier will be required to hold BPSS security clearance as a minimum.
