Description

Rutland County Council requires the services of appropriately licensed Bus and Coach operators, and Hackney Carriage/Private Hire operators, to provide Local Buses, Home to School, Home to College and some Social Care transport on a number of bus/coach and taxi routes. Some routes require vehicles with wheelchair access. Tender documents show the routes available at the date of this Notice. There is a price per mile option for any route which arises after the submission of this Notice. Changes to routes may occur during the tender process, and/or during the currency of the contract. The transport provision is for a mix of ages, and, particularly for the SEN taxis, for a range of abilities. Some of the taxi routes, which are defined in the tender documents, will require an escort (passenger assistant) with a suitable 1st-aid qualification. Drivers and escorts will need satisfactory DBS checks. Documents can be downloaded from https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/Search Rutland County Council requires the services of an appropriately licensed Bus and Coach operator to provide supplementary number 47 public bus services between Oakham and Kings School, Peterborough. Changes to routes may take place during the tender process, and/or during the currency of the contract. The tender documentation sets out the description of the expected routes, minimum vehicle size, and the annual operational cycle. At the time of preparing this Notice, there are 2 No 47 bus/coach routes available, 1 running all year round and 1 during term time only. Bidders may tender for 1 or more routes within this lot, and do not have to tender for all the routes in any lot. The initial contracts will be concluded separately for each Route within the lot and will be for a period of 5 years, subject to the continuing need and available funding for that route/service. Rutland County Council requires the services of appropriately licensed Bus/Coach operators to provide Home to School and Home to College transport on a number of bus/coach routes. The number of routes and the routes themselves are determined by the needs of students in the 2016-2017 cohort, and the tender documents show the routes available at the date of this Notice. At the time of preparing this Notice, there are 9 bus/coach routes available. Changes to routes may occur during the tender process, and/or during the currency of the contract. The transport provision is for a mix of ages. Drivers will need appropriate DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks conducted through or checked by Rutland County Council. The initial contracts will be concluded separately for each Route within the lot and will be for a period as stated in the tender documents, subject to the continuing need and available funding for that route/service. Rutland County Council requires the services of appropriately licensed Hackney Carriage/Taxi operators to provide Home to School and Home to College transport on a number of taxi routes. Some of these Special Taxi Routes require vehicles with wheelchair access, as defined in the specification. The number of routes and the routes themselves are determined by the needs of students in the 2016-2017 cohort, and the tender documents show the routes available at the date of this Notice. At the time of preparing this Notice, there are 9 Special Taxi Routes available. Changes to routes may occur during the tender process, and/or during the currency of the contract. The transport provision is for a mix of ages. Some of these Special Taxi Routes, which are defined in the contract documentation, will require an escort (passenger assistant). This will be a responsible adult other than the driver, holding a suitable 1st-aid qualification. Rutland County Council requires the services of appropriately licensed Hackney Carriage/Taxi operators to provide Home to School and Home to College transport and two Adult Social Care transport contracts on a number of taxi routes. The number of routes and the routes themselves are, in most cases, determined by the needs of students in the 2016-2017 cohort, and the tender documents show the routes available at the date of this Notice. At the time of preparing this Notice, there are 13 Taxi routes available. Some routes require wheelchair accessible vehicles. Changes to routes may occur during the tender process, and/or during the currency of the contract. The transport provision is for a mix of ages. Some of these Taxi routes, which are defined in the contract documentation, will require an escort (passenger assistant). This will be a responsible adult other than the driver, holding a suitable 1st-aid qualification. Rutland County Council requires the services of appropriately licensed Bus/Coach/Hackney Carriage/Taxi operators who may be able to provide Home to School and/or Home to College transport for routes which are not known at the time of publishing this Notice. Bidders for this lot are invited to submit price per mile rates for any such requirements as may arise in the 2016-2017 year. Drivers will need appropriate DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks either conducted through or checked by Rutland County Council. Contracts will be concluded separately for each Route within the lot as and when it arises.
