RED-Wolf is an Interreg North West Europe project that aims to reduce the carbon footprint of homes by utilising both solar panels and the ability to predict the future carbon footprint of electricity on the grid. 5 properties selected for the project are heated by gas or oil and one is electric with no current heating system. The Contractor will be required to survey and install PV panels, battery, storage heaters and generic PCL as well as appropriate wiring. The removal of existing boiler is required but not pipework. Installation of generic PCL unit also required. Properties must reach SEAI required BER "C" rating after works to qualify for SEAI Solar Pilot funding. Additional insulation works to reach this standard may be included if required. Residents will be in occupation in all but one property .
