Description

Renfrewshire Council (the Council) is tendering this procurement on behalf of Renfrewshire Leisure Ltd (RLL) and Contractors are to note that all references throughout this document to the Council should apply equally to RLL. The Council are currently inviting tenders to establish a Framework Agreement for the supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of fitness equipment to refurbish the current gym equipment within RLL facilities over the next 4 years. Tenderers should note that RLL’s requirement for Gym Equipment has been split into 9 Lots: — Lots 1: 4 being awarded to a single supplier, — Lots 5: 9 will be ranked with a maximum of three suppliers. Tenderers may offer for one Lot or multiple Lots. Where a tenderer elects to offer for any Lot, a complete offer for that Lot should be submitted. In the event that an incomplete offer is received for a Lot, the Council reserves the right not to consider the Lot. Lot 2: Value cardiovascular equipment single supplier. RLL considers “value” cardiovascular gym equipment to be robust/high quality equipment that may be “basic” in that it may not include much in the way of multi-functionality and varied programmes. It also may be without integrated digital televisions and I-pod connectivity. Lot 1: Premium cardiovascular equipment single supplier. The Council considers “premium” cardiovascular gym equipment to be robust/high quality that includes, but not limited to, multi functionality, varied programmes, integrated digital televisions and I-Pod connectivity. In addition, the ability to manage the cardiovascular equipment via an integrated exercise data management system that ensures 100 % data capture of all users, may be an option that the Council would explore. Lot 3: Premium fixed resistance equipment single supplier. RLL considers “Premium” resistance equipment may include heavier weight stacks, independent arm action, an integrated electronic exercise screen and/or user data capture systems. The ability to connect to games, the internet and internal/external social media is desirable. Tenderers shall be able to supply a full range of equipment. For the avoidance of doubt, the Council considers a full range of Resistance equipment to include: one piece of equipment for each of the major muscles groups (in isolation), and therefore the full range will comprise of a minimum of 12 to 15 individual pieces of equipment. Lot 4: Value fixed resistance equipment single supplier. RLL considers "Value” resistance equipment may not include heavier weight stacks, independent arm action, an integrated electronic exercise screen and/or user data capture systems. Please comment. Contractor/s shall be able to supply a full range of equipment. For the avoidance of doubt, RLL considers a full range of Resistance equipment to include: one piece of equipment for each of the major muscles groups (in isolation), and therefore the full range will comprise of a minimum of 12 to 15 individual pieces of equipment. Lot 5: Vibration based training system and or platform ranked. Lot 6: Indoor studio cycles ranked. Lot 7: Plate loaded resistance equipment ranked. All equipment will be robust with appropriate racks/storage and be aesthetically compatible with the overall scheme. Tenderers shall be able to supply a full range of equipment. For the avoidance of doubt, RLL considers a full range of Plate Loaded Resistance equipment to include: one piece of equipment for each of the major muscles groups (in isolation), and therefore anticipates that a full range will comprise of a minimum of 6 individual pieces of equipment. Lot 8: Cable based resistance equipment ranked. All equipment will be robust with appropriate racks/storage and be aesthetically compatible with the overall scheme. Contractor/s shall be able to supply a full range of equipment. For the avoidance of doubt, RLL considers a full range of Cable Based Resistance equipment will comprise of a minimum of 4 individual pieces of equipment. Lot 9: Free weights and additional equipment ranked. All equipment shall be new and robust with appropriate racks and be aesthetically compatible with the overall scheme.
