Summary of the work Experienced front end developer required to accelerate digital transformation through development of clinical e-forms working collaboratively with our EPR supplier committing changes directly to their source code repository. Requirement to work alongside internal developers, sharing knowledge and experience to bring them up to speed on the technology stack and solution. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 6 months Latest start date Monday 10 January 2022 Maximum Day Rate £800 per day including relevant taxes and all related expenses Who Speclialist Work With work closely with the internal Business Analysis capability What Specialists Work On Front end developer to accelerate digital transformation through development of clinical e-forms Clinical e-forms are delivered as part of the Trusts enterprise Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with them, and will be committing changes directly to their source code repository. Skills required in JavaScript, React, node/npm, JSON, and a solid understanding of web APIs. They will have proven experience of developer practices and tooling, including git, branching strategies, peer review processes, docker, environment configuration Skills & Experience • Experience in Java Script • Experience in Node/NPM • Experience in JSON • Solid understanding of Web APi's • Experience of Developer practices and tooling • Experience in Work Location Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Williams Avenue Dorchester DT1 2JY Working Arrangments Initial engagement will be onsite, Monday to Friday and then there is the option to move to a hybrid working arrangement including both onsite and remote working to a schedule agreed by both parties. The budget you mentioned is £800 inclusive of all the taxes, does that mean VAT included which be bring down the day rate to £667? Yes that is correct 5. Is the initial onsite presence essential? Could this be carried out remotely? Yes an initial onsite presence is required as per the requirements however due the recent change in the Governement guidelines with regards to 'Plan B' this is open to discussion 6. Can we please ask what the current technology and infra stack is? (e.g. -.NET/Azure/PHP/AWS etc?), do you follow Agile methodology and how many other developers would be working on the project? Current tech stack:• JavaScript inc. React• node/npm• Mongodb• On-premise infrastructure (no expectation for the role to get involved in this)Methodology – agile, loosely based on Scrum.1-2 other developers will be working on this, although the role is expected to lead. 7. Can you please advise your stance on remote working from day one with the newly issued advice to work from home? An onsite presence will be required as the successful party will be required to work closely with our internal team to deliver the requirement however there is the opportunity to be flexible with regards to the number of days spent onsite.For reassurance, the internal team are based on the hospital campus but away from and in a separate building to the main hospital building. There are strict measures in place with regards to social distancing, wearing of PPE when moving around and sufficient supplies of sanitising gel/wipes. Guidance is reviewed regularly and steps are taken to mitigate any risk 8. What roles make up the evaluation panel? The panel will consist of Head of DevelopmentDeputy CIO/Clinical Systems Manager
