Description

The University of Exeter is a rapidly expanding centre of internationally excellent research and education. As part of the CREWW project, we wish to procure a number of field greenhouse gas analysers. These will be deployed in remote, climatically wet ecosystems to monitor the effects of different ecosystem management strategies. This contract opportunity is divided into the following lots: Lot 1: Multiple Automated-Chamber GHG System; Lot 2: Portable GHG System; Lot 3: Combined offering of Lot 1 and Lot 2; Lot 4: Automated Soil Respiration. Tenders may be submitted for one or more lots. We require a portable CO2, CH4 and H2O analyser to continuously monitor CO2, CH4 and H2O across multiple, automated, transparent chambers. These will be deployed in remote, climatically wet ecosystems to monitor the effects of ecosystem restoration on greenhouse gas emissions. Consequently, equipment that is field rugged, of low weight, small dimension and low power requirement is sort. We require a portable CO2, CH4 and H2O analyser to understand the spatial pattern of greenhouse gas emissions the analyser must also be compatible with a portable transparent chamber. This will be deployed in remote, climatically wet ecosystems, therefore equipment that is field rugged, of low weight, small dimension and low power requirement is sort. To bid for lot 3, you must bid must for lot 1 and lot 2 to supply the analysers individually. We require stand-alone systems to continuously monitor soil CO2 flux. These will be deployed in remote, climatically wet ecosystems to monitor a, the effects of ecosystem restoration on soil CO2 flux and b, soil respiration under different woodland management strategies. Consequently, equipment that is field rugged, of low weight, small dimension, low power requirement and capable of running off batteries and/or solar power is sort.
