Description

From 1.4. 2015 Local Authorities have a duty to meet eligible social care needs and plan for continuity of care for people in prison and approved premises. A social care pathway has been agreed by the Prison Health and Social Care Partnership Board. The purpose of the service is to meet the eligible social care needs of people in Norfolk's prisons and approved premises. Following a failed procurement (notified under contract award notice 2017/S 169-347411) we negotiated with the only bidder and subsequently awarded a contract for 5 years with the option to extend for up to an additional 4 years, subject to performance and funding. The value quoted represents the estimated values for for 5 years at HMP Norwich only. The values for other locations are not known as they are dependent on need.
