Birmingham City Council is seeking to appoint organisations for the development of Housing at four sites in Bangham Pit, Caynham Road, White Farm Road and Park Lane. This will comprise of four lots: Lot 1 – Bangham pit is a development of 31 units for social housing in the Bartley Green area, comprising houses and bungalows. The site is a cleared site, formally consisting of poor quality social housing. Lot 2 Caynham Road – another site in the Bartley Green Ward which previously consisted of maisonette’s and shops prior to clearance. The site is adjacent to the remaining shops within the Caynham Road Shopping Centre, also in the ownership of the Council. However one shop unit is privately owned and is surrounded by the development site. This is a mixed housing and bungalow scheme. Lot 3 White Farm Road: Four Oaks area. This was previously public open space, adjacent to a recently constructed sheltered scheme and an older sheltered scheme to the rear. The development comprises remodelling to communal garden to Ensford Close and the provision of 5 bungalows for social rent. Lot 4 Park Lane – 9 houses for rent in Aston on the former Sapphire tower site, now being cleared. BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
