Description

BUILDING REGULATION CONTROL (SP1.5) BBVS are designing and constructing the HS2 Old Oak Common Station of behalf of HS2. Stations are generally exempt from Building Regulations as they are regulated by the respective Statutory Authority requirements (E.G. NR Standards). In the case of the Old Oak Common Station Project this is the HS2 Standards. The scope of works involves a desk top study to provide an independent check of the HS2 standards including the production of 2 reports (with evidence) to: 1. highlight divergences where the HS2 standards diverge from Building Regulations 2. demonstrate compliance with Building Regulations Part L and Building CO2 emission rate (via energy modelling data eg BRUKL Output Document or similar) Suppliers may note the short tender period, BBVS are eager to select a supplier and begin the works as soon as possible. About the buyer's selection process: Respondents to this opportunity should be advised that shortlisted applicants will be invited to tender through an external ERP system. The exact scoring criteria are currently being developed by BBVS, and shortlisted suppliers will be invited to register for the ERP system in due course. What is clear at this stage is that tenders will be scored competitively across a range of criteria, such as, but not limited to: HSEQ, Commercial, Programme, Methodology (particularly with working in a track environment).
