The database will form part of a portfolio of research databases which will be used by Scottish Enterprise staff to develop and deliver services and to support Scottish businesses. A review of the successful supplier’s database will be scheduled for February 2020 before a decision is taken to award the contract for 1st April 2020 – 31st March 2024. We will require trial access from 17th February to 6th March 2020. The database must be an ‘off-the-shelf’ solution, hosted remotely and accessible to end users via a website. The solution should enable Scottish Enterprise staff to provide market research and insight to Scottish companies and colleagues, helping them identify, understand and capitalise on strategic technologies driving disruption and new business models in their industries over the next five to ten years. The solution should focus on the opportunities for companies across a range of sectors and should support them in recognising upcoming and changing trends that will impact and transform their industries, and them to build a strong continuous innovation process, and increase their global competitiveness. The contract for the provision of this database is for a period of four years and will commence on 1 April 2020.
