To provide consultancy services and advice for Marine Hybrid Systems. Typical Services required would be: Marine battery technology and use including capacity monitoring, optimisation, calculation of current capacity / condition and guidance over safety concerns or implications of systems in use. Guidance on safety management and incident response relating to Marine Battery Systems. Guidance on charge / discharge cycles and how they would affect battery performance, life and condition. Guidance on system settings and vessel operation and how this affects battery performance and life. Hybrid electronic management systems, including integration, settings and management of: Battery Management Systems Energy Management Systems Power Management Systems Alarm and Monitoring Systems Propulsion Control Systems Variable Speed Drives DC / AC Hybrid Switchboards Battery Management Systems, parameters and guidance on settings and integration with overall systems Support with procurement activity around replacing current vessel Hybrid Batteries (e.g. assistance with technical aspects of RFTs and technical and commercial scoring of tender responses). Project support for Battery replacement project activity. Lot 1: Ships Gangways and Associated Port Lifting Accessories CalMac Ferries Ltd requires a supplier to ensure that all Ships Gangways, Onboard Lifting Equipment, and Associated Lifting Accessories are and remain compliant with both legal and contractual requirements. CFL must ensure that all gangways under their responsibility and currently used at ports serviced by the fleet are assessed as safe for use and fit for purpose at all times. This is also the case for all lifting equipment used onboard the vessels and all associated lifting accessories. This will be achieved by conducting mandatory six-monthly, annual, or five-yearly testing as required for the type of equipment. Lot 2: Small & Intermediate Vessels Lifting Equipment & Associated Lifting Accessories CalMac Ferries Ltd requires a supplier to ensure that all Onboard Lifting Equipment and Associated Lifting Accessories are and remain compliant with both legal and contractual requirements. CFL must ensure that all lifting equipment used onboard the vessels and all associated lifting accessories are assessed as safe for use and fit for purpose at all times. This will be achieved by conducting mandatory six-monthly, annual, or five-yearly testing as required for the type of equipment. Lot 3: Major Vessels Lifting Equipment & Associated Lifting Accessories CalMac Ferries Ltd requires a supplier to ensure that all Onboard Lifting Equipment and Associated Lifting Accessories are and remain compliant with both legal and contractual requirements. CFL must ensure that all lifting equipment used onboard the vessels and all associated lifting accessories are assessed as safe for use and fit for purpose at all times. This will be achieved by conducting mandatory six-monthly, annual, or five-yearly testing as required for the type of equipment.
