The Provision of Planning Consultancy Services to the Cwm Ivor Penyrheol Solar Farm Project

CCBC’s project opportunity is to develop a ground mounted solar farm of up to ~20 MW capacity, the largest of its kind in local authority ownership in Wales. A grid connection offer has been secured which provides for 15,306 kVA export on to Western Power Distribution’s network at 33kV. A provisional grid connection date has been agreed with Western Power Distribution (WPD) for Summer 2022 when WPD’s upgrade works at Upper Boat substation are due to have been completed. CCBC have appointed a planning consultant to support the project’s development.
