Description

Gateshead Council acting on behalf of itself and the North East Procurement Organisation is seeking to establish a Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for external training provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and ensure the Council continues to deliver high quality services. The Pseudo DPS is initially split into 10 high-level lots: — lot 1 — external training provision, — lot 2 — building maintenance, construction and highways training, — lot 3 — corporate and workforce development training, — lot 4 — education and schools training, — lot 5 — health and safety training, — lot 6 — hospitality and catering training, — lot 7 — ICT training, — lot 8 — safeguarding training, — lot 9 — social care (adults and childrens) training, — lot 10 — social worker training. Each high-level lot is broken down into sub-lots to identify specific training courses as detailed in Appendix 2 of the documentation. Training provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and to ensure the Council can continue to deliver high quality services. Lot 1 will cover all categories and sub-categories of training. All suppliers who are appointed to the DPS within any lot will automatically be included within lot 1. The purpose of this lot is to provide Contracting Authorities with the ability to undertake a single call-off for any multi-discipline training which may fall under more than 1 lot or sub-lot. Training provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and to ensure the Council can continue to deliver high quality services. This lot 2 will cover training requirements within building maintenance, construction and highways training. The initial sub-lots included under lot 2 are: 2.1 Abrasive wheel training; 2.2 ADR awareness; 2.3 Asbestos awareness; 2.4 Asbestos cat B (removal); 2.5 Cat and genny; 2.6 Chainsaw training and assessment; 2.7 Confined spaces training; 2.8 Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS); 2.9 Driver Certificate in Professional Competence (DPC); 2.10 Driver training; 2.11 Dynamic risk assessment; 2.12 Face 2 fit tests; 2.13 Fuse pulling and switching; 2.14 G39 — electrical safety training; 2.15 Gas training; 2.16 Gritter operation training; 2.17 Ladder safety training; 2.18 Minibus driver training/assessment; 2.19 Mobile elevated platform; 2.20 Power tool training; 2.21 Roller driver training; 2.22 Scaffolding erection; 2.23 Scaffolding inspection; 2.24 Signing, lighting and guarding; 2.25 Site manager safety training scheme; 2.26 Water jetting training; 2.27 Miscellaneous building maintenance, construction and highways training; 2.28 Fork lift truck training; 2.29 Training in the use of fire products and fire door installation; 2.30 Training in working with conservation materials when designing and adapting buildings. Training Provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and to ensure the Council can continue to deliver high quality services. This lot 3 will cover training requirements within corporate and workforce development training. The initial sub-lots included under lot 3 are: 3.1 Assertiveness at work; 3.2 Bespoke smarter working strategies; 3.3 Building personal confidence; 3.4 Civic enforcement training (HR); 3.5 Coaching and mentoring; 3.6 Coaching skills for managers; 3.7 Coercive control; 3.8 Communicating effectively all the time; 3.9 Conflict resolution; 3.10 Conversations with vulnerable customers; 3.11 Developing yourself and your team; 3.12 Distance/flexible learning providers; 3.13 Effectively managing change and transformation; 3.14 Equality and diversity; 3.15 How to engage with your employees; 3.16 Human rights act; 3.17 Influencing others and developing relationships; 3.18 Interviewing skills; 3.19 Leadership skills development; 3.20 Leading and managing teams; 3.21 Level 3 certificate in assessing vocational achievement; 3.22 Level 3 management programme; 3.23 Management training; 3.24 Managing difficult conversations; 3.25 Managing people and performance; 3.26 MCA training; 3.27 Mental health awareness training; 3.28 Networking skills and how to use them; 3.29 Personality disorder and hoarding; 3.30 Presentation skills; 3.31 Project management in the agile working environment; 3.32 Schools workforce policy and employment law conference; 3.33 Team building away day; 3.34 Time management; 3.35 Unlocking your potential — self-aware manager; 3.36 Miscellaneous corporate and workforce development training; 3.37 Sales training; 3.38 Complaints training — general, adults and childrens. Training provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and to ensure the Council can continue to deliver high quality services. This lot 4 will cover training requirements within education and schools training. The initial sub-lots included under lot 4 are: 4.1 Behaviour and attendance; 4.2 Teaching assistants and support staff; 4.3 Family learning; 4.4 Communication and language; 4.5 Miscellaneous education and schools training. Training provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and to ensure the Council can continue to deliver high quality services. This lot 5 will cover training requirements within health and safety training. The initial sub-lots included under lot 5 are: 5.1 COSHH training; 5.2 Deaf awareness; 5.3 DSE; 5.4 Epistat (epipen) training including epilepsy awareness; 5.5 First aid training; 5.6 Manual handling and lifting; 5.7 Medication training; 5.8 Paediatric first aid; 5.9 Personal safety/lone working training; 5.10 Visual impairment awareness; 5.11 Working at height training; 5.12 Workplace stress; 5.13 Miscellaneous health and safety training; 5.14 Fire protection awareness training; 5.15 PATS — Passenger safety and support included in midas minibus (residential childcare only) training. Training provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and to ensure the Council can continue to deliver high quality services. This lot 6 will cover training requirements within hospitality and catering training. The initial sub-lots included under lot 6 are: 6.1 Level 3 food safety in catering; 6.2 Level 3 supervising food safety; 6.3 Level 3 award in HACCP; 6.4 Miscellaneous hospitality and catering training. Training provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and to ensure the Council can continue to deliver high quality services. This lot 7 will cover training requirements within ICT training. The initial sub-lots included under lot 7 are: 7.1 BSC certificate in information security; 7.2 Certified GDPR practitioner; 7.3 Installing and configuring Windows server; 7.4 ITIL v3 + exam; 7.5 Microsoft PowerBI; 7.6 Oracle database program units; 7.7 Oracle SQL and SQL fundamentals; 7.8 Prince 2 Agile + exam; 7.9 Prince 2 Foundation + practitioner + exam; 7.10 Visio training; 7.11 Business objects awareness; 7.12 Miscellaneous ICT training. Training provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and to ensure the Council can continue to deliver high quality services. This lot 8 will cover training requirements within safeguarding training. The initial sub-lots included under lot 8 are: 8.1 Sexual exploitation; 8.2 Chairing and convening safeguarding adults meetings; 8.3 Domestic violence; 8.4 Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) training; 8.5 Financial abuse; 8.6 Internet and online safety training; 8.7 Modern slavery; 8.8 Multi-agency safeguarding and protect; 8.9 Neglect training; 8.10 Parental mental health training; 8.11 Safeguarding minute taking; 8.12 Working with disguised compliance; 8.13 Miscellaneous safeguarding training. Training provision which will comprise of professional training providers who will deliver high quality training to a variety of learners to aid their development and to ensure the Council can continue to deliver high quality services. This lot 9 will cover training requirements within social care (adults and childrens) training. This lot 10 will cover training requirements within social worker training. The initial sub-lots included under lot 10 are: 10.1 AMHP training; 10.2 NQSW — AYSE workshops; 10.3 Report writing and court skills for social workers; 10.4 Miscellaneous social worker training.
