Area 3 & 4 - Signals Timing Validation

Published

Value

8,000,000 GBP

Description

All traffic signal junctions, on the strategic road network, require routine planned traffic signal timing validation reviews to ensure the current plans, be it dynamic (MOVA/SCOOT) or fixed (UTC/CLF), are still relevant. National Highways seek to undertake a timing validation exercise across sites located within Area 3 & 4 as an opportunity to conduct a visual review of detector loop locations and lane driver behaviour, to collate and review accidents/complaints accumulated over the review period and identify or confirm whether any further safety enhancement or optimisation of the operation of the signals can be achieved. This will allow the fulfilment of good practice of "The Traffic Signs Manual" Lot 1: All traffic signal junctions, on the strategic road network, require routine planned traffic signal timing validation reviews to ensure the current plans, be it dynamic (MOVA/SCOOT) or fixed (UTC/CLF), are still relevant.
