Military Operational Surgical Team Training (MOSTT) Course

The Authority requires surgical team training that is achieved in the main by a 5-day Military Operational Specialist Team Training (MOSTT) course. This is delivered by a military faculty comprising personnel from the Defence Medical Services (DMS). The Tenderer is to provide facilities in support a minimum of 2 and up to a maximum of 4 MOSTT courses per annum to accommodate a maximum of 54 participants (i.e. 6 teams of 9 participants) per course. The Tenderer must hold Human Tissue Authority license and supply/prepare/maintain up to 7 (fresh or thawed from frozen) human cadavers in accordance with the Human Tissue Act 2004. Key areas that the Tenderer must provide: a. A simulation suite with programmable wireless mannequins. b. A number of classrooms equipped with audio and visual (AV) technology to allow PowerPoint presentation and DVDs to be shown. Flip charts, whiteboards and associated consumables are also to be available. This is to include full technical support to all provided facilities and equipment. c. Ability to take delivery of and store military specific equipment from other sites for approximately 30 boxes (approx. size of boxes will be 1 metre long x 0.5 metre high), the week before each course. d. A facility must have an appropriately sized room to erect a tent with the dimensions of 5.5 x 7.5 metres and height 3.5 metres, which is licenced for the use of cadavers for complex hybrid simulation. e. A breakout room with morning and afternoon refreshments, an onsite canteen for lunch and washrooms. Lot 1: Key areas that the Tenderer must provide: a.
