C0274 - Transport Provision for Service Users With Physical And/Or Sensory Impairment - Market Sounding Exercise

Published

Description

We are seeking input from the market about how the provider of the transport solution can deliver an excellent service for one of our most vulnerable groups with a wide range of physical and sensory impairment. The service runs throughout the year with increased provision during the academic year. It is required twice a day with deadlines on pick-up, arrival, departure and drop-off. Due to the safeguarding and specific needs of the group there is a requirement for escorts on the majority of the provision; the logistics of this needs to be factored in. The provision of this service contributes to three of our four priorities: o Children - a great city to grow up in o Health - a great city to grow old in o Jobs and Skills - a great city to succeed in This means: o Our children and young people are able to realise their full potential through great education and training. o Our children and young people are confident about their own sense of identity. o Families are more resilient and better able to provide stability, support, love and nurture for their children. o Our children and young people have access to all the city has to offer. o Creating a healthier environment for Birmingham. o Promoting independence of all our citizens. o The development of a modern sustainable transport system that promotes and prioritises sustainable journeys. BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. The web address is: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc Registration and use of In-tend is free. All correspondence for this procurement process must be via the In-tend correspondence function. If you are unable to register with In-tend please either email cps@birmingham.gov.uk or call 0121 464 8000.
