The MRC CMM needs a high quality fluorescence and colour imaging system that can image glass slides and glass-bottomed plates of cells and tissue across the fluorescence spectrum (UV-far red). The system should be able to image through plastic 96 well plates for cell morphology imaging. The system will be primarily used to scan (stitch) slides and plates for screening. It must achieve high resolution and sensitive imaging with high NA lenses equipped with DIC at high res (20-60) and phase contrast for low resolution (10-20). The system should be controlled by easy-to-use software, suitable for a multi-user group screening plates and slides.
