Clinical (Healthcare) and Hazardous Waste Service. The Contractor will deliver the following valued adding services during the life of the contract: An effective audit and monitoring system for Clinical waste across BHFT, training and information for key/frontline staff in best practice waste management principles, Effective segregation of waste, continuing sustainable systems to minimise waste and delivering sustainable Recycling/reuse opportunities, Improvement in waste management/minimisation across BHFT to reach NHS Targets during the course of the contract and continued usage of the national colour coded system for Disposal of clinical waste. The contract period is for an initial term of 3 years plus 1 additional year. Clinical waste services for Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Clinical waste services for Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
