Summary of the work Exhibition/Demonstration of technology as part of London Tech Week. Latest start date Wednesday 22 September 2021 Why the Work is Being Done We are hosting an exciting event showcasing the future of the data and digital sectors as part of London Tech week on Wednesday 22nd Sept 2021. At the event we will be launching a new strategy and presenting a range of talks focusing on the rapid growth of data and digital with a particular focus on young people, employment and sustainability. We are keen to offer the tech community the opportunity to showcase the latest in data-led and digital technology in our large exhibition space. This is an open call for organisations who are developing the latest technology to exhibit their products to a large audience. We are particularly keen to hear from organisations specialising in data visualisation, data science, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), 3D printing. Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and drones. We are particularly keen to hear from organisations that are using technology to solve a specific social challenge. This event will be held at The Factory Project in the Royal Docks, London. http://thefactoryproject.co.uk/. This large former industrial space offers a wealth of opportunities to creatively display products and installations. Problem to Be Solved Opportunity to showcase your organisation's technology solution. Who Are the Users We are inviting public sector leaders, academics, education leaders, and technology companies to the event. Existing Team Working with Newham Council's Change Delivery, Events and Comms teams. Current Phase Not applicable Skills & Experience • Have a technology product/installation to demonstrate • Work with our events team to plan the demonstration Nice to Haves • Provide a hands-on interactive demonstration of their product • Have a prototype/product that is cutting edge & innovative • Be working in one of the following areas: data visualisation, data science, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), 3D printing, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and drones Work Location The Factory, 4 Thameside Industrial Estate, Factory Road, London E16 2HB http://thisisprojekt.com/factory / http://thefactoryproject.co.uk/page20843968.html (nearest DLR stations: Pontoon Dock and London City Airport – 10 minutes walking distance) Working Arrangments 1. Pre-event planning call with Newham Council 2. Event set up 21/22nd Sept 2021 3. Event start 3pm 22 Sept 2021 4. Event close 10.30pm Sept 2021 5. Wrap up 23 Sept 2021 No. of Suppliers to Evaluate 15 Proposal Criteria • Availability for 22 Sept 2021 • Simple description of product/company • Simple description of demonstration/proposed set up for exhibition Cultural Fit Criteria • Ability to work with our Events team • Be open/transparent on what the organisation is trying to sell Payment Approach Capped time and materials Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 10% Cultural fit 5% Price 85% Questions from Suppliers 1. How many suppliers in total will be at the event? We are looking for 20-30 exhibits. 2. Who the audience is made up of? The audience will be technology leaders from government, academia, third sector organisations and private companies.
