Summary of the work D Info Digital Innovation Architect will lead the expedient identification and trialling of digital capability into approved digital transformation programmes and projects using a 'learn fast' approach to concepts. An understanding of military operational activity is required as part of this role Specialist role Technical Architect Expected Contract Length Initially 1-year with option to extend up-to 12 months Latest start date Monday 24 January 2022 Maximum Day Rate £680 per day based on 18 days per calendar month over initial 12-month contract period Who Speclialist Work With The Army and wider Defence are embracing a culture of innovation to both realise efficiencies and, more importantly, force optimisation. Digital innovation requires an expedient delivery of capability into service with adoption of a 'learn fast' approach to concepts. To ensure we continue to leverage business benefits from our innovation activities we require a broadening of SQEP and KSE within the Directorate to better bridge the industry and military use of technologies, solutions and service. This role will be working with the Army Digital Transformation programme (THEIA) to accelerate&maximise the transition to "Digital by Default" aim for the programme What Specialists Work On The responsibilities will be: 1. Lead the Digital Innovation blueprint for Digital Transformation as defined by AH Digitalisation and Army Chief Data Officer 2. Produce&maintain a roadmap of emerging technologies and processes that will support greater adoption of digital technologies and cultural behaviours. 3. Produce solutions plans and estimates against complex problems including: development of transformation maps, identification of Minimum Viable Products, opportunities to influence change programmes, exploit current services to meet digital transformation agenda 4. Provide advice and guidance to transformation teams across the organisation 5. Drive standards and approaches to innovation/prototyping 6. Plan and deliver progression through trials Skills & Experience • Demonstrate leading large scale Enterprise Service transformation within last 4-years (15%) • Ability to build, lead, develop and motivate high performing and well balanced delivery teams within last 4-years (15%) • Ability to find and develop innovation opportunities relevant to the business (15%) • Expert in the Data Digital and Technology delivery role within last 2-years (15%) Work Location Main office - Army HQ, Blenheim Building, Marlborough Lines, Andover, Hampshire, SP11 8HJ Working Arrangments Your primary location will be Andover and will be expected to work a Hybrid arrangement that will include on-site, home working and travel to other Army locations across the UK.
