The operations and advice given by SLAB seeks a digital first approach to public service delivery in line with Scottish Government’s Digital First Service Standards. A digital first approach can make better use of resources and offer best value in the SLAB legal aid system and service delivery. To support the delivery of these outcomes, SLAB is seeking to procure a single platform Case Management System (CMS) to support its three direct service business areas, Civil Legal Assistance Office (CLAO), Public Defence Solicitors’ Office (PDSO) and Solicitors Contact Line (SCL). No single software package covering the three functions is currently in use. Each one has its own software setup, with varying degrees of CMS software capabilities.
